JCI Manila Basketball League 2026 Opening & Family Day: Leading Beyond the Game

This year, the JCI Manila Basketball League 2026 opened with more than just the usual parade of teams. In the spirit of this year’s mantra, Lead Beyond, the traditional opening ceremonies were transformed into a full-blown Family Day—and this time, the kids took over the show.

From hosting the program, to serving as team muses, to even judging the parade, the JCI Manila kids brought the energy, charm, and fun that made the day truly unforgettable.

With over 300 attendees, families came together to enjoy inflatables, a magic show, face painting, basketball, fellowship, and a whole lot of bonding. In the end, the committee couldn’t choose just one winner—so everyone became a winner.

Running for over 20 years, the JCI Manila Basketball League has become one of the organization’s most anticipated traditions. Each year, members volunteer and sponsor as team owners, forming their teams through a draft-style system from a pool of over 250 players across the Main League, D-League, and OG League.

This format allows members to play with a new set of teammates every season, building deeper friendships and stronger camaraderie within the organization. And as tradition goes, championship teams often receive a special treat from their team owners—sometimes even an out-of-town or out-of-country trip.

The opening also served as the official kickoff to JCI Week, setting the tone for a week filled with leadership, service, community, and unforgettable memories.

Behind the professional execution of the league is KOTC Sports Events Management, JCI Manila’s trusted partner and supplier for over five years. This year, KOTC also helped engineer the concept of involving the kids in the opening and Family Day program—turning a basketball launch into a meaningful family experience.

From top-notch venues, livestream coverage, FIBA LiveStats, video highlights, mini movies, photography, and NBA-level graphics, KOTC continues to bring a professional and elevated feel to the JCI Manila Basketball League.

This season also marks a major milestone with the launch of the league’s official digital platforms: YouTube @JCIManilaBasketballLeague, Facebook @JCIManilaBasketballLeague, and Instagram @jcimanilabball, giving members a public platform to enjoy livestream games, reels, highlights, and league content throughout the season.
