JCI Manila Golf League Season 2 Goes Beyond as Kings of the Course Debuts

Golf has long been one of the most anticipated sporting events within JCI Manila. More than just a tournament, the JCI Manila Golf League (JGL) has become a platform where members build friendships, strengthen business relationships, and enjoy the game in an atmosphere that values camaraderie as much as competition.

Now on its second season, the league continues to grow with 120+ players competing across six teams: Team Kabet, Bachuca, Birdie Boomers Club, Birdie Hornets, Team Beshie, and Team FHX.

Unlike its professional counterpart, the Ryder Cup, the JCI Manila Golf League is designed with a different philosophy. While every point matters, the league places greater emphasis on creating a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment where both seasoned golfers and beginners can enjoy the sport together. Whether it's a first-time golfer or a low-handicap veteran, every member has a place in the league.


Seven Premier Golf Courses, One Unforgettable Season

Season 2 takes members on a golfing journey across some of the country's most prestigious courses:

  • Tagaytay Highlands

  • Manila Southwoods – Legends Course

  • Sta. Elena Golf Club

  • Northwoods Golf Club

  • Ayala Greenfield Golf & Leisure Club

  • Hann Reserve – Dragon's Landing (Semi-Finals)

  • Caliraya Golf Springs (Finals)

Each tournament leg offers players a unique golfing experience while showcasing some of the finest championship-caliber courses in the Philippines.


Kings of the Course: Elevating the Golf Experience

The JCI Manila Golf League also marks an important milestone for KOTC Sports Events Management as it expands beyond basketball with the launch of Kings of the Course—its dedicated golf events division under KOTC Holdings.

As KOTC's first-ever golf sports event, the objective was simple yet ambitious: elevate the overall playing experience for every participant.

Through Kings of the Course, the league introduced several innovations rarely seen in member golf tournaments, including:

  • Live tournament standings updated throughout each leg, allowing players to monitor scores from other flights while still on the course.

  • Professionally designed player cards for every participant.

  • The official launch of the Kings of the Course Facebook and Instagram pages, giving the league its own digital presence.

  • Premium event branding through professionally designed graphics, posters, and tournament collateral that transformed the overall look and feel of the league.

The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Players praised the elevated tournament experience, while even veteran caddies were surprised by the level of organization, presentation, and production throughout each event.

Leadership Behind the League

The continued success of the JCI Manila Golf League is made possible through the leadership of Membership Development Director Erwin Bolivar, Chairman Cyril Manalo, and Vice Chairman Jules Bonifacio, whose vision continues to strengthen member engagement through sports.
